Our baby was baptized on December 23rd. A good time was had by all, except baby. He did not take kindly to the full submersion baptism! After a long scream fest, he fed and passed out. He wasn't much fun at the party, celebrating his baptism and Daddy's graduation. Enjoy the pictures!

What a cutie!
Is there a doctor in the house?
On December 15th, Daddy officially graduated from Virginia Tech - the first "doctor" in the family. We traveled to Virginia, attended the graduation, met up with friends for dinner and left for home, all within 24 hours!

A "Hair Raising" Experience
On Thursday, I noticed that the baby's toe was very red and swollen and it appeared that something was wrapped around it. I'm determined not to be an overprotective mother, calling the ped every day, so I looked on the internet to research this condition. Apparently, it's something called a "hair tourniquet". This happens when a hair or fiber wraps around a babies finger or toe and cuts off circulation. As you can imagine, the consequences can be serious. I then decided to call his doctor's office and the nurse said to bring him in right away. By the time we got there, he had somehow popped the hair off. The doctor told us that this is a fairly common condition. Who knew!?!
This house has gone to the dogs!
December 9th was Leeza's 5th birthday, so we decided to have her Cavalier friends (plus a Pug) over for a party! The dogs played outside, ran through the house and ate birthday cake. It must have been a huge success, because Ollie and Leeza passed out and slept like babies. Our baby, on the other hand, did not!
