You've Come a Long Way Baby!

Baby is 8 months old today. He can now sit unassisted for short periods of time, drink from a cup, and reaches to be held. He is all hands and attempts to grab everything! He even says ma-ma :) Thanks to our friend Crystal, we read the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and have had great success. Baby sleeps 15-16 hours/day. He sleeps through the night in his own crib. What a relief! We tried the family bed thing for the past 3 months, but that only worked for baby. Ususally, either mommy or daddy ended up on the floor or couch.

It's hard to believe that our little 4 lb. boy is turning into such a big, active guy. I'm enjoying these days because I know they won't last long.

Laughing Baby

Here is a video clip of our silly baby. The picture is a bit dark, but it's the sound that's most important.

Flat Earth

Have you ever found some product that you really like, only to find it discontinued? This happens all the time with me. Well, I've found a snack food that I don't want to be discontinued. This may sound like a strange thing to blog about, but I want everyone to go out and buy Flat Earth Fruit/Veggie Crisps by Frito Lay. I'm so addicted to these chips that I can't imagine not having them. They are very light and have a great after-taste. And, they are one of the few snack foods made by Frito Lay that isn't completely fried and bad for you. I recommend the Wild Berry Patch flavor.

Exersaucer

We broke down and bought baby an Exersaucer this weekend. I'm not sure how much he really likes it. The jury is still out on this one.

We Still Love You!

This Saturday was a big day for Xavier's men's basketball team. At one point, it really looked like they would progress to the Sweet 16. The game went into overtime and they were beaten by Ohio State. We still love you, Muskies!
Here are some pictures of baby and Daddy watching the game.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

More sweet pictures!

We're Back!

I haven't blogged in 2 weeks because we've spent the last 10 days visiting friends and family in PA and MD. It was a great trip! Baby had so much fun visiting grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We even had the chance to visit Hershey and toured Chocolate World.

I, on the other hand, had a bitter sweet time. I really enjoyed seeing everyone, but had my credit card number stolen at some point during this trip. I'm now spending an exorbitant amount of time with my bank disputing several charges to a grocery store in Mexico. Oh well, I guess that happens.

Baby is getting bigger by the day. He is still slightly delayed in motor skills, but is almost to the point where he can sit independently. He can stand with support, gives raspberries and eats like a champ. He is really a pleasant baby, laughing and smiling at the drop of a hat. There is no sweeter sound than one of his giggle fits.
