Back to School

It's official! I'm going back to school in May. I was accepted into a doctoral program in psychology. The cool thing is that some of the coursework is online. I can stay at home with baby and earn a PsyD all at the same time.

One thing that I've learned over the past 7 months - staying at home full time is very difficult for me. I'm sure it works out better for other moms, but I struggle with it. I really need lots of things going on in my life. Otherwise, I get bored.

But, with this program and my part time job, I have great balance of school, work and family.
Enjoy these super sweet pictures of baby!

My Three Dogs

We always thought that having a child would be like having a third dog. Well, it's not. But, check out some pictures of our pack.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

We want to wish Aunt Sarah a Happy 20th Birthday. Sarah is one of the most courageous people we know. Not many 20 year olds have had to endure a kidney transplant and lymphoma. You go Sarah! We are so proud of you!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

February 6th is Daddy's birthday! All of us in Sell-Smith world want to let daddy know how much we appreciate him, so we wrote this poem:

Roses are Red,

Carnations are pink,

Find somewhere else to sleep,

Because you really stink!

That was actually Leeza's idea.

No seriously, Happy Birthday! We love you so much!!!

Happy Belated 6 Month Birthday!

I almost forgot to mention that January 26th was baby's 6 month birthday. He celebrated by getting several shots at the doctor's office!

Six months is such a fun age! Baby can now rollover, reach for and grab objects, babble, and sit in his Bumbo. He finds many things funny and gives a hearty belly laugh! He is well into eating solid foods and likes all of the cereals, sweet potatoes and squash. He is still a peanut at 14 lbs. 4 oz. and 26 inches. But, that's not uncommon for preemies.

Baby has such a great personality. He is really laid back and adaptable. I'm not sure how two high-strung, driven people have such a relaxed baby!
